Step by Step Marketing for Small Businesses
Architectural Websites with Purpose
Is your website designed with a purpose? I talk to many people in the architectural industry that, for all intents and purposes, view their website simply as their portfolio. While that is helpful, it does not show the client how you can help them, and isn’t that why they came to your site?
A client visits your site (a site that is hopefully mobile-friendly) and sees the best of your past work. Then they open another website from your competitor. There they see information that quickly tells how your competitor will work with that client, helping them thru each of the design and submittal stages. That client also sees pictures of your competitor’s best work. Your competitor gets the job.
Too often a website is designed and built around your thoughts and needs rather than the needs of the visitor. With this simple shift of thought, your website goes from a portfolio to a vital business tool. Never forget that your website is not for your, but for your client.
